Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday led a delegation of senior ministers to Raj Bhavan to meet Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari over the Maratha reservation issue.Asked whether his ties with Governor Koshiyari were still strained, CM Thackeray told India Today TV, "It is not a question about strained relations...we reacted to the type of answers we received...we have full respect for the Governor." The relations between the two soured after Raj Bhavan did not appoint CM Uddhav Thackeray to the Maharashtra Legislative Council as the Governor's nominee on technical grounds. It was mandatory for Thackeray to become a member of the Council within six months of being sworn in as the Chief Minister. The Cabinet presided by Deputy CM Ajit Pawar had recommended the appointment of Uddhav Thackeray as the Governor's nominee to the Raj Bhavan.More Related News
