
Man dead after house fire in Scarborough: police

A man is dead after a house fire in Scarborough on Friday morning, Toronto police said.
Officers and firefighters responded to the area near Brimley Road and Anson Avenue around 7:30 a.m., police said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
One person was found dead inside the house, police said.
The fire has been put out. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
Toronto Fire Services said they did not have information on where the fire started.
Paramedics confirmed they found a person inside the house but did not provide any further identifying information about the victim.
