
Man arrested after woman found dead in Airdrie, Alta., police say

The Alberta RCMP's major crimes unit is investigating after a woman was found dead inside a home in Airdrie, Alta., on Thursday.
Airdrie RCMP responded to a 911 call regarding a man in medical distress at a business in northeast Airdrie at around 8 a.m.
EMS attended and assessed the man, after which a well-being check was done at an Airdrie residence.
Officers found a woman dead in the home. Police deemed her death suspicious.
The man was taken into custody in connection to the death. He was taken to hospital, where he remains.
Police said they are not looking for any other suspects, nor is there any risk to the public.
An autopsy will be conducted in the coming days and next-of-kin have been notified.
