A 23-year-old man has died after a collision on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway Saturday morning.
Hamilton police say the man was driving a black BMW near the Upper James Street exit from the parkway around 9 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle.
Police say he crossed the centre median and struck a 72-year-old woman driving a Ford vehicle, travelling eastbound.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The parkway was closed in both directions for several hours yesterday, while the Collision Reconstruction Unit investigated.
The woman was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
