Malavika Mohanan lashed out at media houses circulating her "fake vulgar" photo

Actress Malavika Mohanan has rebuked media houses for circulating a picture of her that she says has been photoshopped into something that is "fake" and "vulgar." She has asked the Internet to help suppress the fake image by reporting it. In a tweet shared on Wednesday, Malavika posted the original image which was taken in November for a magazine shoot - an edited version in which part of the actress' outfit was removed has gone viral. Some media portals have also run the picture, with the actress branding it "cheap journalism." In her tweet, Malavika Mohanan wrote: "This is a photo of mine from a few months back which somebody has photoshopped and created a fake vulgar one. A lot of people have been circulating that, including media houses like @AsianetNewsTM, which is just cheap journalism. If you see the fake one please help and report." Read the tweet here.

Malavika Mohanan also responded directly to a tweet from the media portal she named. "Sad to see such prominent media house use fake photoshopped vulgar photos without doing a fact check just for social media mileage," she wrote.
