However, officers say they are still attempting to confirm the information.

Several fire services including Walkerton, West Grey and Elmwood are on scene of the blaze at Fabulous Fashions and the former Forum Hotel Rooming House.

Police are asking everyone to avoid the downtown core saying that 10th Street is closed from 9th Avenue to 11th Avenue.
