Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar on Saturday announced that people in Mumbai will have to provide their Aadhar Cards to the chemists while purchasing COVID-19 self-test kits.
"We have decided that everyone purchasing self-test kits will have to provide their Aadhar cards to the chemists to maintain a record. If anyone tests positive they must inform the authorities and update this online," Kishori Pednekar said.
This came after a review meeting was held on Saturday over the COVID-19 situation in the state.
"In today's COVID-19 review meeting, it has been decided that no changes are required in ongoing guidelines and restrictions. We have ordered medical stores to maintain a record of persons who purchase the COVID-19 antigen self test kits," said Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
