Maharashtra Minister for Higher and Technical Education Uday Samant met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari to apprise him of the decision to conduct online examinations in 13 state-run universities amid a surge in coronavirus cases.

He said, "During the meeting, discussions were held regarding vaccination of about 36 lakh students above 18 years of age in non-agricultural universities and colleges in the state, taking exams online and starting the academic year on time".
