Maharashtra govt to launch mobile app for e-tickets for travel in Mumbai local trains

The Maharashtra government will soon launch a mobile app for generating e-tickets for Mumbai local trains. Commuters will be required to provide details of their Covid-19 vaccination certificates.

The Maharashtra government is likely to launch a mobile app this week to facilitate easy access to local train tickets and passes for travel in the Mumbai Metropolitan Area (MMA). The mobile app will offer an easy way of logging in with details, said sources in the government. The commuters will have to provide their Covid-19 vaccination certificates to get e-tickets for suburban travel in the MMR. Once the details are logged in they will be able to download the tickets.
