Meanwhile, on behalf of Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, monetary assistance has been announced for the injured, stating that the state will bear the treatment expenses of the injured devotees.

Earlier, on June 19, one Warkari was killed while 29 others sustained injuries after a tractor trailer carrying a group of Warkaris was hit by a tempo truck on the Pune Satara Highway.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde connected with the injured Warkaris over the phone and directed hospital authorities to take utmost care of the injured, and to take action to relocate them if they want.
