Maha govt upgrades minister Nawab Malik's security after threat calls

NCP leader Nawab Malik had alleged that the NCB raid on a luxury cruise liner off the Mumbai coast last week was "fake".

The Maharashtra government has upgraded the security detail of minister Nawab Malik. Malik will be given Y+ security. Earlier, he had a police guard with a pistol. Now, under the Y+ security, he has been given four armed police guards with a pilot car and four armed police guards at his residence.

Nawab Malik’s security detail was upgraded after he allegedly got threat calls from different states due to his press conference last week.
