Longtime CBS News White House correspondent Mark Knoller has died at the age of 73, according to reports, leaving behind a legacy of meticulous work and generosity.

"Mark Knoller was the hardest-working and most prolific White House correspondent of a generation," CBS News president and executive editor Tom Cibrowski said, according to the network.
