
Lightspeed Commerce reports Q3 revenue up 11 per cent from year ago

Lightspeed Commerce Inc. reported a third-quarter loss of US$33.6 million as its revenue rose 11 per cent compared with a year ago.
The Montreal-based company, which keeps its books in U.S. dollars, says the loss amounted to 24 cents US per diluted share for the quarter ended Dec. 31 compared with a loss of US$26.6 million or 17 cents US per diluted share a year earlier.
Revenue for the quarter totalled US$312.3 million, up from US$280.1 million a year earlier.
The increase came as the company’s transaction-based revenue totalled US$209.4 million, up from US$181.7 million, while subscription revenue totalled US$93.0 million, up from US$88.1 million.
Hardware and other revenue amounted to US$9.9 million, down from US$10.4 million a year earlier.
On an adjusted basis, Lightspeed says it earned 15 cents US per diluted share in its latest quarter compared with an adjusted profit of 12 cents US per diluted share a year earlier.
