Fox News
Leslie Van Houten, a Charles Manson follower and convicted killer, will be paroled in weeks, according to her lawyer. Gov. Newsom dropped his efforts to keep Van Houten behind bars.

The governor’s office said it was unlikely that the state’s high court would consider an appeal of a lower court ruling that Van Houten should be released.
