Leading probe into cruise drugs case, NCB zonal head Sameer Wankhede gets six-month extension

Zonal Director of the NCB's Mumbai unit, Sameer Wankhede, received a six-month extension days after the agency busted a 'rave party' on board a cruise ship.
Sameer Wankhede has been granted a six-month extension as Zonal Director of the Narcotics Control Bureau's Mumbai unit. This is Wankhede's second six-month extension during his time at the drug enforcement agency.
Under the supervision of Sameer Wankhede, the NCB probed a number of high-profile cases, including charges of drug consumption against actor Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik.
