
Las Vegas police: Dog left outside dies in extreme heat while owner slept

A Las Vegas woman was charged after police said she left her dog outside in the 114-degree heat and fell asleep without providing it food, water or shade.
Police were called to a home at the Silverado Mobile Home Park north of Las Vegas Boulevard North and Walnut Road July 21 after receiving a report that a dog had died after being left outside. The responding officer observed a black trash bag in the front yard with a leash near it and could smell a dead animal, according to FOX 5.
