Lalo Schifrin, Oscar-nominated composer of iconic "Mission: Impossible" theme, dies at 93

Lalo Schifrin, the composer who wrote the endlessly catchy theme for "Mission: Impossible" and more than 100 other arrangements for film and television, died Thursday. He was 93.
Schifrin's son, Ryan Schifrin, confirmed the death to CBS News in a statement, saying his father "succumbed to complications from pneumonia."
"His family was at his side, and he passed peacefully," Schifrin said. "We are grateful for the opportunity to be there for him. We are still trying to process this loss, and are very moved by all the love and support we have received."
