Lakhimpur incident a blemish on democracy: Varun Gandhi writes to PM Modi, calls for strict action

BJP MP Varun Gandhi has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the farmers' issue. He said, "The Lakhimpur Kehri violence incident was a blemish on democracy."

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Varun Gandhi said on Saturday that the "Lakhimpur Kheri violence incident was a blemish on democracy". In his letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Varun Gandhi said strict action must be taken against the Union minister whose name cropped up in the matter.

Varun Gandhi took to Twitter on Saturday to share a letter which he had written to PM Modi over the farmers' issue. While he welcomed the Centre's decision to repeal the three farm laws, he demanded that "all politically-motivated and false FIRs against protesting farmers" should be quashed.
