Knicks signing Norvel Pelle for big man depth
NY Post
The Knicks will be signing center Norvel Pelle to a 10-day contract, providing some big-man depth following Mitchell Robinson’s foot surgery earlier this week.
Pelle, who appeared in four NBA games earlier this season, with the Nets and the Kings, has been COVID-19 testing this week for the Knicks, and he could be available as soon as Saturday’s game in Detroit, according to The Post’s Marc Berman. Robinson suffered a fractured right foot Saturday night against the Bucks, and he underwent surgery Tuesday to repair his fifth metatarsal bone at the Hospital for Special Surgery.
Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.

Wednesday was another positive day at Yankees camp. For the first time since March 6, 2025 — an outing in which he knew “something wasn’t right,” which began a weeks-long saga that ended on the operating table for Tommy John surgery — Gerrit Cole was back on a mound and facing hitters in game action.
