
Knicks interested in ‘very available’ Collin Sexton in potential NBA Draft trade

If Cavaliers point guard Collin Sexton had fallen to ninth in the NBA Draft in 2018, Knicks brass would have selected the Alabama point guard over Kevin Knox, according to a source.
They didn’t get so lucky, and Sexton was taken at No. 8 by Cleveland. But the Knicks may get another shot at the speedy Sexton. On Monday, The Athletic reported Sexton has been made “very available” by the Cavaliers in a potential trade. A source confirmed the Knicks have Sexton on their radar as they attempt to shore up the starting point-guard position and that he could be dealt during the 2021 NBA Draft on July 29.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.

Wednesday was another positive day at Yankees camp. For the first time since March 6, 2025 — an outing in which he knew “something wasn’t right,” which began a weeks-long saga that ended on the operating table for Tommy John surgery — Gerrit Cole was back on a mound and facing hitters in game action.
