Knicks’ Immanuel Quickley under strong consideration for USA honor
NY Post
Knicks rookie guard Immanuel Quickley is under heavy consideration to be named to the USA Basketball Select Team, according to multiple sources. The Select Team will scrimmage against the Olympic team in Las Vegas.
Quickley, the former Kentucky guard who was selected last November at No. 25 overall, was one of the draft’s big surprises. He earned second-team all-rookie recognition as the top vote-getter on the second squad. The Select Team, made up of young American prospects, will practice with the Olympians before they head overseas. The Knicks consider those scrimmages terrific learning experiences. Tim Hardaway Jr. and Mitchell Robinson, then young Knicks, have been part of the team in the past.
SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.

Wednesday was another positive day at Yankees camp. For the first time since March 6, 2025 — an outing in which he knew “something wasn’t right,” which began a weeks-long saga that ended on the operating table for Tommy John surgery — Gerrit Cole was back on a mound and facing hitters in game action.
