Kazuyoshi Miura will continue his professional career into his 55th year this season after the former Japan international striker joined fourth tier Suzuka Point Getters on loan from Yokohama FC on Tuesday.
Miura, who turns 55 next month, has joined the Japan Football League club following Yokohama's relegation to the second division at the end of last season.
Suzuka is managed by his brother, Yasutoshi, and the move sees Miura continue his career into a 37th season.

The two men killed as they floated holding onto their capsized boat in a secondary strike against a suspected drug vessel in early September did not appear to have radio or other communications devices, the top military official overseeing the strike told lawmakers on Thursday, according to two sources with direct knowledge of his congressional briefings.
