Kevin Knox could be key to Knicks-Collin Sexton trade
NY Post
As the Cavaliers decide whether to trade homegrown combo guard Collin Sexton before having to make a decision on a rookie contract extension, it is worth noting Cavaliers general manager Koby Altman was high on Kevin Knox in the lead-up to the 2018 draft, according to an NBA source.
The Cavaliers went on to select Sexton at No. 8, leaving the Knicks with Knox at No. 9. After a decent rookie year, Knox has underwhelmed the past two seasons and Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau took the 6-foot-9 combo forward out of the rotation in late January because of his low-energy defense. “Cleveland liked Kevin in the draft,’’ the source said. “Whether there’s still that feeling since they’ve watched him in the pros is not clear. But they definitely liked him then.’’
SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.

Wednesday was another positive day at Yankees camp. For the first time since March 6, 2025 — an outing in which he knew “something wasn’t right,” which began a weeks-long saga that ended on the operating table for Tommy John surgery — Gerrit Cole was back on a mound and facing hitters in game action.
