The Kerala police crime branch has asked for the examination of Actor Dileep’s phones to be done in the Thiruvananthapuram lab. Six phones, including Dileep’s, his brother Anoop’s and brother-in-law Suraj, are currently in Aluva court’s custody.
The Kerala police crime branch has demanded the examination of actor Dileep's phones at the lab in Thiruvananthapuram. The Aluva court currently has six phones in custody, which includes that of Dileep, his brother Anoop and brother in law Suraj.
Crime Branch officer, Mohanachandran Nair, directly presented the application to the magistrate on Wednesday, February 2.
The High Court on Tuesday, February 1, handed over the phones to Aluva magistrate court. The court was asked to decide on the matter of the phones. While the crime branch is demanding custody of the phones, the defence is firmly against the move.
Dileep's lawyers have always maintained that the crime branch would manipulate the evidence in Dileep's phones against him.
The crime branch team investigating the conspiracy case against the actor for attempting to kill the officers investigating the actor assault case has been in pursuit of the phones for a while now.
Dileep had earlier refused to hand over the phones in a written statement. However, the High Court ordered the phones to be submitted without delay on Monday.
Dileep submitted the phones before the registrar of the Kerala High Court on Monday in a sealed cover. These are the phones that are now in the Aluva magistrate's custody.
