
Kemba Walker signing with Knicks after Thunder buyout

Kemba Walker is coming home.
The Bronx native has agreed to sign with the Knicks and form a point guard tandem with Derrick Rose after being bought out by the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday, according to an NBA source. The Knicks feel Walker, who played at Rice High School in Harlem and UConn, can still be an All-Star-caliber guard if his body is right after an injury-ravaged 2020-21 campaign.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.
