KCR responsible for AP drawing excess water: Revanth Reddy
Hyderabad
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy lashed out at BRS president and former CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao accusing him of not completing projects such as Bhima, Nettempadu, and Palamuru-Rangareddy, during his rule and spending most of the 10-year time in his farmhouse without solving the problems faced by people.
“Mr. Rao allowed Andhra Pradesh to draw excess water from Krishna to Rayalaseema. He laid the foundation stone for Rayalaseema lift irrigation scheme assuring that he will convert Rayalaseema into a fertile land,” he said alleging that the BRS president betrayed Mahabubnagar people despite winning the MP seat from there.
Asserting that the development works of Mahabubnagar district would continue uninterrupted, he said that BRS and BJP leaders were unable to digest the fact that the son of the soil (Mahabubnagar) became the Chief Minister of Telangana. He was speaking at a public meeting in Wanaparthy on Sunday.
He was equally critical of BJP’s State president and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy claiming that the latter was trying to stake claim for the development projects secured by Telangana. “We struggled a lot to get permission for Mamnoor airport in Warangal, but Mr. Kishan Reddy is trying to take credit for that,” he said.
Mr. Kishan Reddy in fact created hindrances in securing permissions and funds for prestigious projects like the extension of Metro rail, Regional Ring Road, Musi rejuvenation and allocation of water to the Palamuru Rangareddy lift irrigation scheme.
The Chief Minister criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not keeping his promise of providing two crore jobs every year. “He has given employment to only two from Telangana, Union Ministers Bandi Sanjay Kumar and Mr. Kishan Reddy,” he said.
