Doha, Qatar: The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) is set to host its 27th Tech Forum, bringing together leading experts to examine the transformative intersection of artificial intelligence and healthcare. The symposium, titled “Artificial Intelligence & Medicine,” will take place on January 22, 2026, from 6pm to 8pm at the Katara Library for Arabic Novels, Building 48. 

According to posts on Katara’s social media accounts yesterday, the event, which is organised in collaboration with Business Forum, is open to the public and promises to deliver cutting-edge insights into how AI is reshaping medical practice and patient care across the globe. The symposium comes at a crucial time when healthcare systems worldwide are increasingly integrating artificial intelligence technologies to improve diagnostic accuracy, treatment outcomes, and operational efficiency. 

Three distinguished speakers will lead the discussion. Issa Mohammed Al-Ishaq, a prominent journalist and media personnel, will offer perspectives on communicating these technological advances to the public. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Gerek, an ENT & Head & Neck Surgery Professor, brings clinical expertise to examine AI’s practical applications in surgical and diagnostic procedures. Dr. Isha Farha Quraish, an Oracle Cloud & AI Evangelist and Serial Entrepreneur, will share her extensive experience in implementing AI solutions within healthcare systems. 

The forum will address four critical topics that represent the forefront of AI in healthcare. The first session will explore “Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare: Bridging Scientific Research with Practical Application,” focusing on scientific strategies for adopting artificial intelligence in clinical settings. This segment aims to demystify the gap between theoretical research and real-world implementation. 

Participants will then delve into “Augmented Intelligence in Medical Sciences,” examining how AI tools enhance rather than replace human medical expertise. The third session will investigate “Applications of Artificial Intelligence Agents in Healthcare,” showcasing specific use cases where AI systems are making measurable impacts on patient outcomes and healthcare delivery.
