Karnataka To Probe Charges Of Girl Being Forcefully Fed Eggs In School

Senior officials have denied that the student was forcefully fed eggs and said she might have raised her hand when midday meal was being served.

An inquiry has been ordered by the Karnataka government following allegations that a girl student was forcefully fed eggs by her teacher during the midday meal in a government school in Shivamogga, a charge denied by the officials.

According to officials, the father of the class 2 student, who belongs to Brahmin community, on Wednesday wrote to the Education department claiming that the "act" of the school teacher has hurt their "religious sentiments".

He also sought strict action against the teacher concerned and the headmaster of the school.
