Karnataka launches first-ever war room for animal welfare to help cattle breeders, dairy farmers

Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa on Wednesday launched a war room for animal welfare in Bengaluru which will provide aid to cattle breeders and dairy farmers to increase the health and productivity of livestock in the state.

For the first time, a one-of-a-kind cattle war room has been set up by the Karnataka government. This animal welfare war room has been set up at the Commissionerate of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services (CAHVS). The authorities have also set up an animal welfare helpline number at the CAHVS at an expense of Rs 45 lakh.
