Karnataka: Dalit youth alleges cops beat him up, made him lick urine inside police station

The Dalit youth has alleged he was beaten up inside the police station, urinated upon and asked to lick urine from the floor.

A Dalit youth in Karnataka has alleged that he was made to drink urine during interrogation inside a police station. The youth, Punneth, has written to Karnataka DGP Praveen Sood seeking justice in this matter and demanded action against the cops for this inhuman act. The incident occurred Chikkamagaluru district earlier this month. As per Punneth's allegations, a sub-inspector in Gonibeedu Police Station in Chikkamagaluru made him drink urine during his interrogation inside the police station.
