Karnataka: Dalit family stopped from burying infant in Tumkur district

A Dalit family was allegedly stopped from burying their four-month-old infant in the Koratagere taluk of Karnataka's Tumkur district. 

A Dalit family was allegedly stopped from burying their four-month-old infant in the Koratagere taluk of Karnataka's Tumkur district. The family, which works in a stone quarry, lost the infant to a respiratory illness. Since the child's parents didn't have a pucca house nor could they find any burial places for Dalits in the area, they decided to bury their child's body at land near their hutment.
