Jusuf Nurkic fires back at Shaq over ‘soft’ label and Draymond Green punch rumor
NY Post
Jusuf Nurkic is not going to take Shaq’s potshots lying down.
On his “Big” podcast, Shaquille O’Neal cited a rumor that Jusuf Nurkic was weighing the idea of pressing charges against Draymond Green after the Warriors forward punched him in the face during an on-court incident in December, and the Suns’ big man refuted that this was true.
“I want to have a Katt Williams moment right now,” O’Neal, 51, began, referring to the comedian going on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast and lighting fire to the Hollywood establishment.
“Per NBC Sports, I don’t know if it’s true or not, Jusuf Nurkic is talking about pressing charges against Draymond Green. Now I have a problem with that. Because one, it just shows how soft you are as a big man. You’re going to ruin what I created in the big man alliance.
“The reason why Draymond hit you sir [is] because he knows you’re not going to hit him back. So for you to say, even [to] think about saying you’re pressing charges, you’re soft. This is something I would tell you to your face if I saw you. You can’t press charges, you just got to get your big ass up and hit somebody back. How about that with your big soft ass?”
On X on Friday, Nurkic, 29, denied ever having said he might press charges against Green, and told O’Neal he’s not trying to lose his paycheck by getting in fights that are largely absent from the modern NBA.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.

Wednesday was another positive day at Yankees camp. For the first time since March 6, 2025 — an outing in which he knew “something wasn’t right,” which began a weeks-long saga that ended on the operating table for Tommy John surgery — Gerrit Cole was back on a mound and facing hitters in game action.
