Jon Stewart accuses J.K. Rowling of anti-Semitism over portrayal of goblins in 'Harry Potter' franchise
Fox News
Comedian Jon Stewart called out J.K. Rowling for including what he believes is an anti-Semitic portrayal of Jewish people that was included in the “Harry Potter” movie franchise.
Speaking on the companion podcast to his AppleTV+ show, "The Problem with Jon Stewart," the host spoke with two of his staff members and drew a comparison between Rowling’s beloved series of "Harry Potter" films and the negative illustrations of Jewish people featured in the 1903 book "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion."
"Here’s how you know Jews are still where they are," Stewart explained. "Talking to people, here’s what I say: Have you ever seen a ‘Harry Potter’ movie? Have you ever seen the scenes in Gringotts Bank? Do you know what those folks who run the bank are? Jews!"
