John Fetterman had narrow advantage over Oz prior to 'painful' debate performance: poll
Fox News
Democrat John Fetterman enjoyed a slim lead over Republican Mehmet Oz in polling just prior to Tuesday's debate. Fetterman's performance at the debate was widely criticized.
The senate candidate suffered a stroke on the campaign trail earlier this year, and he has struggled to follow conversations and express himself effectively in the months since. His campaign has refused to release his medical records despite his condition being on full display to voters Tuesday evening. Anders Hagstrom is a reporter with Fox News Digital covering national politics.
Fetterman's performance found few defenders, even among media figures sympathetic to Democrats. Anders worked as a White House correspondent for the Daily Caller before joining Fox News Digital in 2022. There, he covered the opening months of former President Donald Trump's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the fallout of the 2020 election.
Since joining Fox, he has covered national politics extensively, including the 2022 midterm elections and President Biden's efforts to counter global adversaries like Russia and China.
