
Joe Judge’s message to Giants players after crazy brawl

It matters more how the Giants respond and react to what happened to trigger Tuesday’s practice brawl than the actual reasons why it went down the way it did.
So says coach Joe Judge, who was decidedly more calm and analytical a day after he ripped into his players with an F-bomb-filled monologue. “The important thing is we learn from it, that we can’t do anything that’s gonna cost our team in a game,’’ Judge said Wednesday. “We coach in all aspects of the game to eliminate penalties. Listen, the result of having something like that in a game is gonna be 15-yard penalties, ejections from the game and for players and coaches specifically, fines.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.
