Jimmy Butler may have shaded Pat Riley in viral coffee shop video as Heat drama builds
NY Post
When Jimmy Butler wants out, he never does so quietly.
And he might have taken a shot at the Miami Heat — possibly long-time team president Pat Riley — in a video posted on his Instagram story.
Butler was at his BigFace Coffee brick-and-mortar location in the Miami Design District this week, it seems, when the six-time NBA All-Star posted a video that is already making the rounds.
Buter, who is still a member of the Heat — though he requested a trade last week — was talking up an employee at BigFace and said, “This is our best guy right here. See that? I gave you a compliment. That’s what bosses do.”
He added, with a smile, “We build you up, we don’t break you down,” he said, holding a thumbs up.
It’s not completely clear if this is a shot at Riley or anyone in particular, but given Butler’s history and the current climate surrounding his ordeal with the Heat, it’s beyond plausible that this is calculated.

SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.
