Jets, Zach Wilson finally end $35.1 million contract standoff
NY Post
It took longer than it should have, but the Jets and Zach Wilson finally reached a deal on Thursday.
The rookie quarterback — taken No. 2 overall by the team — signed his contract, which will pay him a guaranteed $35.1 million over four years, including a $22.9 million signing bonus. The two sides had been fighting over the contract and it cost Wilson the first two practices of training camp. The disagreement was over language in the contract, not over the amount he would be paid, which is predetermined.More Related News
