Jets’ Woody Johnson ranks dead last among owners in damning NFLPA report card: ‘Culture of fear’
NY Post
INDIANAPOLIS — Woody Johnson won’t be hanging this report card on the fridge.
The NFLPA issued their annual team report cards on Wednesday and the Jets finished 29th out of 32 NFL teams in the rankings. Johnson was given an F, the only owner in the NFL to be graded that low. Johnson received a B- last year.
“They talked about the culture – it’s a problem, top down,” NFLPA chief strategy officer J.C. Tretter said of the Jets’ response during a press conference to discuss the report.
“[They said,] ‘It’s a culture of fear here.’ And I think that stood out in those grades.”

Suddenly, someone had hit a rewind button and everyone had been transported back seven months. It was early spring instead of late fall, it was broiling hot outside the arena walls and not freezing cold. Everyone was back at TD Garden. There were 19,156 frenzied fans on their feet begging for blood, poised for the kill.
