Jets dealt critical NFL draft blow by Giants — leaving them with these QB options
NY Post
The Jets’ 42-10 loss to the Patriots on Sunday may have been the fourth most important game to the franchise this week.
At 3-13, the Jets’ season ended long ago. There are no playoffs for a 15th straight year, no need to figure out tiebreakers and scoreboard watch when it comes to the AFC bracket.
No, it’s all about the NFL draft for the Jets and their fans. That is where the focus is now, and the Giants dealt the Jets a significant blow with their 34-10 win over the Raiders on Sunday. The Giants’ win makes it most likely that the Raiders draft No. 1 overall in April. The Raiders need a quarterback so the expectation is they will take Heisman Trophy winner and top prospect Fernando Mendoza.
Had the Giants ended up with the top pick, there was hope that the Jets could swing a trade with their MetLife Stadium co-tenants for the No. 1 pick since the Giants seem content with quarterback Jaxson Dart, a first-round pick last year.

SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.

Wednesday was another positive day at Yankees camp. For the first time since March 6, 2025 — an outing in which he knew “something wasn’t right,” which began a weeks-long saga that ended on the operating table for Tommy John surgery — Gerrit Cole was back on a mound and facing hitters in game action.
