Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid unveiled, launch in 2022

CEO Carlos Tavares says that by 2025, 98 per cent of its models in Europe and North America will have electric versions. 

New Delhi: Jeep is planing to enter the world of electric vehicles with its Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid. The automaker has unveiled the first glimpse of the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid.  Showcasing the first glimpse of the Grand Cherokee, Jeep says it plans to have a zero-emission model in every SUV segment by 2025. Jeep maker Stellantis is a little late to the global electric vehicle party, but on Thursday it pledged to catch up and pass its competitors. CEO Carlos Tavares says that by 2025, 98 per cent of its models in Europe and North America will have electric versions. He says the company that combined Fiat Chrysler and Peugeot is developing four electric vehicle platforms with ranges from 500 kilometers (311 miles) to 800 kilometers (497 miles).
