Jay Leno was granted a conservatorship over wife Mavis' estate Tuesday after he filed a petition with the Los Angeles courts in January to protect their assets.
"I think she’s in the least restrictive environment. I think she’s in very good care with Mr. Leno," the judge said during the hearing, according to People magazine. Tracy Wright is an entertainment reporter for Fox News Digital. Send story tips to Tracy.Wright@fox.com.
The judge added, "Everything you’re doing is right. I totally understand this is a difficult period."
