According to the DGP of Jammu and Kashmir Dilbag Singh, the devotees pushed each other over the argument over something, after which there was a stampede.
The number of injured is being reported as 13. It is being reported that the incident took place at around 2:45 p.m.

The Yatra (pilgrimage) to the holy Temple has been temporarily stopped after the incident. The stampede took place outside the sanctum sanctorum of a temple located on the Trikuta hills in Reasi district.
While the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) named Ritu Tawde as its mayoral candidate, the Shiv Sena chose Sanjay Shankar Ghadi for the post of deputy mayor.
