Jamie Lee Curtis planning her Hollywood exit so she's not 'rejected' like her famous parents

Jamie Lee Curtis reveals her plans to leave Hollywood on her own terms, inspired by watching her parents Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis struggle as the industry rejected them with age.

"I witnessed my parents lose the very thing that gave them their fame and their life and their livelihood, when the industry rejected them at a certain age." Lori Bashian is an entertainment production assistant for Fox News Digital.

Having watched her parents struggle in the industry as they got older, she has taken a proactive approach, telling the outlet, "I have been self-retiring for 30 years." She explains she has "been prepping to get out" of the industry in order to not "have to suffer the same as my family did."
