London: Italy's Jannik Sinner has extended his lead at the top of the ATP World Rankings, released today, after clinching his first-ever Wimbledon title - the third Grand Slam tournament of the year.

Sinner secured the prestigious title on Sunday with a commanding performance against world No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz of Spain, defeating him in four sets to widen the points gap between them.

Meanwhile, American Taylor Fritz, who reached the semifinals before falling to Alcaraz, moved up to fourth place in the rankings, overtaking Britain's Jack Draper, who slipped to fifth. Fellow American Ben Shelton climbed one spot to ninth, while Russia's Andrey Rublev returned to the top 10, jumping four places.

In contrast, Russian star Daniil Medvedev dropped out of the top 10 following an early first-round exit at Wimbledon. He fell five spots to 14th place. The updated ATP Top 10 standings new features Jannik Sinner (Italy) - 12,030 points followed by Carlos Alcaraz (Spain) - 8,600 points; Alexander Zverev (Germany) - 6,310 points' Taylor Fritz (USA) - 5,035 points; Jack Draper (UK) - 4,650 points; Novak Djokovic (Serbia) - 4,130 points; Lorenzo Musetti (Italy) - 3,350 points; Holger Rune (Denmark) - 3,340 points; Ben Shelton (USA) - 3,330 points; and Andrey Rublev (Russia) - 3,110 points.

In the women's rankings, Poland's Iga Swiatek has rejoined the top three in the WTA standings after capturing her first Wimbledon title.
