
Israel accuses UN-backed Gaza famine report of political manipulation, demands withdrawal

Israel rejected a U.N.-backed report declaring famine in Gaza, saying it was based on manipulated data. Jerusalem threatened to lobby donor nations to cut funds to the IPC unless it is retracted.

According to the IPC, 132,000 children under age 5 are projected to suffer acute malnutrition through 2026, including more than 41,000 severe cases. It said over 55,000 pregnant and breastfeeding women also require urgent nutrition support.
