ISL | A misfiring Kerala Blasters faces a defensively compact Inter Kashi

Kerala Blasters seek their first points against defensively strong Inter Kashi in a crucial ISL clash on Saturday.
Kerala Blasters hasn’t scored a goal yet. Inter Kashi has scored one in two games.
Both sides need to sharpen their attack when they come face to face in the ISL at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here on Saturday. No prize for identifying the more desperate of the two: it is not just a goal that has eluded Blasters; points, too.

David Catala’s boys have lost both their opening fixtures and they should be looking forward to opening their account, ideally with three points. But their frontline is up against an Inter Kashi defence that has conceded just one goal.
“Inter Kashi is really compact,” Catala acknowledged. “They are doing a very good defensive work. They don’t concede goals. We saw how they played against Goa. And we expect the same kind of game.”
The coach said his team would go on the offensive. “But we have to be more determined in the last third,” he said. “We have to play the ball faster. We have to find a high rhythm with the ball and to try to break Inter Kashi’s defensive line.”
