Iranian students take to streets joining striking business owners as Amini protests hit 83rd day

Protests in Iran entered the 83rd day as students took to the streets and shopkeepers closed their businesses and went on strike in response to death of Mahsa Amini.
Iranian government forces have reportedly sealed up many shops across the country in retaliation for joining the merchant strike, and protesters were reported to have clashed with government forces on Wednesday. Later on Wednesday night, protesters marched on Azadi Square in Tehran chanting, "Death to Khamenei" and "death to the dictator" despite a heavy presence of Iranian security forces who opened fire on the crowd intermittently with pellet guns.
