India Today
Former Australia cricketer Michael Slater has teared into Australia PM Scott Morrison again on Wednesday. Slater, who was part of the broadcast team for IPL 2021, has suggested Morrison to take his private jet and come witness dead bodies on streets of India. The Australian premier has recently termed a statement from the former opener "absurd".
On May 3, Michael Slater, the former Australian cricketer, slammed his Prime Minister Scott Morrison for not making any arrangements to repatriate the people from the country stuck in Covid-ravaged India. "Blood on your hands PM," Slater had written while lambasting PM Morrison. Amazing to smoke out the PM on a matter that is a human crisis. The panic, the fear of every Australian in India is real!! How about you take your private jet and come and witness dead bodies on the street! Above all my love and prayers to every Indian. You have been nothing but amazing to me every time I've been there. Please stay safe. Xx Slater, who was part of the broadcast team for now-postponed IPL 2021, was among the 36 Australians involved in The IPL 2021 after the departure of players Andrew Tye, Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson in between the tournament. The trio had pulled out anticipating ban on Indian flights to Australia. Subsequently, Australia indeed banned all direct passenger flights from India till May 15. Reports of jailing and fining people returning from India were also doing the rounds.More Related News
