IPL 2021: KKR shed fear, find new gear in UAE to script dramatic turnaround and reach final

IPL 2021: Unlike the first half of the season, KKR were not paralysed by fear in the UAE. The 2-time champions played a brand of cricket that mirrors how their captain Eoin Morgan and head coach Brendon McCullum approach the game. With 5 wins on the trot, KKR are in the final, bidding to win their 3rd title.
Kolkata Knight Riders were paralysed by fear at the start of IPL 2021, according to head coach Brendon McCullum. The 2-time champions, under World Cup-winning captain Eoin Morgan, had a horror start to the season with just 2 wins in their first 7 games.
"There were sometimes throughout the season when I just felt we were being paralysed a little bit by fear," McCullum had said before the start of the UAE leg of IPL 2021. It was disappointing to see KKR not playing a brand of cricket that defined their head coach's approach to cricket.
