India Today
The BCCI has not zeroed in on a new window for the rescheduled IPL 2021 but England director of cricket, Ashley Giles has said their centrally-contracted players might not be available for the remainder of the matches. IPL was postponed indefinitely due to positive Covid-19 cases in bio-bubbles of franchises in India.
England and Wales Cricket Board managing director Ashley Giles has said England's centrally-contracted players, including captain Eoin Morgan, Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler, are likely to miss the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 if and when it takes place due to clashes with the international calendar. IPL 2021 got underway in April in India but was suspended and postponed indefinitely on May 4 after the completion of 29 matches due to Covid-19 positive cases in bio-bubbles of multiple franchises across Delhi and Ahmedabad. India has been hit badly by the 2nd wave of coronavirus infections with daily cases surging past 4,00,000.More Related News
